Wanderers win Under 13 Metro

Wanderers eventually ran out comfortable winners over Boyne in the Under 13 Metropoliton Plate competition in ALSAA Santry on Sunday 13th may.

Scoring 8 tries Wanderers won 50 -10 against a committed Boyne side.With a strong wind favouring Wanderers in the first half they eased into a 28 point lead after scores from Wayne Ashe Browne,Conor Mc Quaid,Oliver Moyles and Emmet Mahony all duly converted by Jack O Carroll.

In the second half Boyne managed to get more into the match and held Wanderers scoreless for the first 10 minutes, after that however the Wanderers back line began to get into its rhythm and with some excellent running by Peter Robb at full back and wings Robert Martin and Gavin Walshe the ground work was laid for Conor Mc Quaid to complete his hat trick with two further well worked tries.

Not to be outdone by the backs the forwards began to unleash their big runners and with some excellent service from scrum half Luke Martin , Wayne Ashe Browne also completed his hat trick with two long range runs from his own half.

Man of the match was Oliver Moyles with Tom Darcy winning best tackle of the match.
