Wanderers Junior Selection 12 V Bective Junior Selection 12


Wanderers Juniors took on Bective Juniors in a Training game on Saturday in Merrion Road.

It was a typical “first match of the season” , with lots of misses tackes, mistakes , and sloppy execution of the basics , but it served its function in that it gave all the players who have been training their first run out of the season, gave them a chance to put a few hits in(and take a few) , and a chance to improve on their fitness.

The Wanderers squad contained a number of new players , with all of these players showing some promise, in particular No 8 Matt Fortune.

Wanderers tries came from Eoin Goulding and newcomer Andrew Garnett, both of which were converted by Enda Kelliher.

Training continues Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7.30 sharp, and the Squads next outing is to play Corinthians in Galway, this coming Saturday.
