Rugby International
Ireland v Canada
Saturday 8th November 2008 Thomond Park
Iarnrod Eireann are expecting a significant number of rugby supporters to travel by train to Limerick for the Ireland v Canada rugby international on Saturday 8th November.
In an effort to accommodate rugby supporters travelling to and from Limerick to see the Ireland v Canada rugby friendly in the redeveloped Thomond Park on Saturday 8th November, Iarnrod Eireann have amended some of their scheduled evening trains from Limerick to both Cork and Dublin.
Colbert Station, which is right in the heart of Limerick, is a 20 to 25 minute walk from Thomond Park. In addition Bus Eireann will be operating a shuttle bus service, before the match, from the city centre to Thomond Park.
Supporters have the flexibility to travel outward on any available train and return on one of the amended train services to Cork and Dublin which depart from Colbert Station, Limerick at 20.00 hrs and 21.05 hrs with an additional later departure of 22.00hrs for Cork only.
Iarnrod Eireann advise that there is limited capacity on these return trains from Limerick and are strongly advising supporters to book their travel in advance to avoid disappointment on the day.
Train tickets are now available online through the Iarnrod Eireann website, www.irishrail.ie.
Further information is available from local Iarnrod Eireann stations or www.irishrail.ie
